HEPA Filter Care for Your Dust Collector

How often should the filter be changed?

It is strongly recommended to change the filters every 2-3 months.

A used filter does not absorb dust effectively, which leads to high stress on the fan.

This can lead to damage to the dust collector.

Proper care and maintenance of the HEPA filter during operation with the dust collector is essential to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Regular inspection of the HEPA filter is crucial for maintaining its performance.

Check it for visible signs of damage or wear, such as tears or holes in the filter material.

If you notice any damage:

Replace the filter immediately to avoid reduced filtration efficiency and potential motor damage.

Daily Maintenance

Disconnect the dust collector from the power supply before removing the filter!

Simply tap the filter gently against a hard surface to remove the dust.

Filter Cleaning (every two weeks)

The filter can be washed, but do not use a hairdryer to dry HEPA filters.

a. Turn off the dust collector and unplug it before removing the filter.
b. Gently tap the filter against a hard surface to remove loose dust and debris.
c. Rinse the filter under cold water until the water runs clear. Avoid using soap or detergents, as these can damage the filter fibers.
d. Allow the filter to air dry completely before using the dust collector again.

Do not expose the filter to direct sunlight, as this can damage the sensitive fibers.
